Mobile application – SelfCheckIn

BeeRent SelfCheckIn is an Android application designed to help you register your guests in Croatia and it is connected to the BeeRent eVisitor application. You can quickly and easily register your guests online, for reservations received from any sales channel.

To whom is it intended?

  • Guest – from now on, the guest can register online through the application by scanning their documents, and the homeowner only needs to confirm the registration in BeeRent
  • Homeowner – the homeowner can register guests by scanning their documents

How to start using selfCheckIn

The application can be found on the Google Play Store, from where you can download it and install to your device. Once the application is installed you can start checking-in your guests with one of these methods:

Method no. 1

Go to beerent.com on your mobile phone and login to your account. Once you’re logged in, go to the ”Reservations” page. 

In the table find the reservation for which you wish to check-in a guest, click on the button located next to the logo of the channel on which the reservation was made.

Next, click on the Tools button.

On the bottom of the drop-down menu, you will find the eVisitor Check-in button that you need to click.

A new window will open with a list showing currently checked-in guests. To check-in a new guest by scanning their documents through the selfCheckIn Mobile Application, click on the ”Add new guest using selfCheckIn” button.

Once you’ve clicked that, the selfCheckIn Mobile Application will open. For further instructions on how to check-in guests, read Check-in Process.

Method no. 2

If you have previously installed the app, another way to log in is to open the reservation confirmation email and click on the QR Code that can be found inside the email.

Method no. 3

Open the previously installed selfCheckIn Mobile Application (or download and install here).

To log in you need to accept the terms of use and click on the ”QR CODE LOGIN” button.

The next step is to scan the QR code that you can find in the email you received regarding the confirmation of your reservation.

Advice: How to scan the QR code faster and better

  1. Place the MRZ in the lower frame so that the ends of the MRZ zone (the white part with the symbols) are at the borders of the frame or a little outside
  2. Place the mobile phone in parallel with the document
  3. The MRZ zone boundaries should be parallel to the scanner frame
  4. The MRZ zone lighting should be even everywhere, without the flash

NOTE: For each reservation, you will receive a new QR code. Please use the new QR code for each new reservation and login of the guests associated with it. To make changes to the reservation click on the Log Out button to log out of the current reservation and log in to another one.

Check-in Process

Once you open the application you will see reservation details and a list of registered guests. Editing or deleting guests is not possible.

To add a new guest, click on the “+” button in the bottom right corner.

You will then be able to scan a document.

From the scanned document the following information will be checked:

  • Name
  • Surname
  • Citizenship
  • Country of residence
  • Sex
  • Date of birth – cannot be changed
  • ID number – travel document number – cannot be changed
  • ID Expiration date – the date until which the document is valid – cannot be changed

Based on citizenship, the Country of Birth field will automatically be filled.

Based on reservations and the properties capacity, as well as guest information, the following fields are automatically filled:

  • Check-in / check-out date
  • Check-in / check-out time
  • City of residence

Look over the data and modify it if necessary. Click on the Register button after the correct entry of all data.

If you wish to repeat the scan click on the button in the upper right corner and if you wish to cancel the scan click on the arrow on the upper left corner.

Once you’ve done that, the guest will be added to the list.

Note: If the travel document has expired, you will be notified.

You can contact the host of the property by clicking on the handset or letter button.

To view scanned applications, corrections, sign-ins / sign-outs or deletions, you must activate the eVisitor application in the Beerent platform and connect it to the properties. Read more about the eVisitor application here.
