Rate plans

You are here:

If you are a Premium or Premium Plus user you can choose rate plans that we recommend or, create your own. If you are a Free plan user, you will be offered the Standard rate plan.

Different tariff plans are associated with different prices, meal plans, payment and cancellation policies.

For example, the non-refundable rate plan in BeeRent would mean the following: the guest pays 100% of the total amount when confirming the reservation, and in the event of cancellation at any time before the arrival, the guest pays 100% of the amount as a cancellation fee. The total price is 5% lower than the standard price.

To see what rate plans exist or add a new one, on the BeeRent platform, click on the Rate plan section.

Step 1

If you are Premium or Premium Plus user, you can create your own rate plan. To do that, click on the Add new rate plan template button.

You can specify all the conditions yourself:

  • Name – a name for the personal record
  • External name – the name that will be displayed on sales channels
  • Days cancellation before arrival – the number of days prior to arrival in which the guest can cancel the reservation at no cost
  • Cancellation fee (€) – an amount in euros for each cancellation within those days
  • Cancellation fee (%) – a percentage of the total reservation amount that has to be paid in case of cancellation

Note: There are two ways to enter a Cancellation fee – in Euros or the percent. You can not add both, so please choose the one that is most appropriate for your facility, and set the other one’s value to 0.

  • Payment in advance (%) – a percentage of the total reservation amount that will be charged as an advance (if you charge an advance)
  • The price difference (%) – the percentage difference in price from the original base price. The difference can be positive (+) or negative (-).

After you’ve entered all the necessary data, click on the confirmation button to save the rate plan you have made, or click on the ‘’x’’ button to cancel.

Step 2

When you’ve made the rate plan template, you can enter the contract terms by clicking on the Contract button. You can set a Meal type by clicking on the Meal plan option and selecting one of the items offered in the drop-down menu.

Clicking on the trash button will delete the rate plan template, and by clicking on the button next to the trash button, you can edit the data you have entered before.

If you are a Premium or Premium Plus package user, you are able to change all data in the preferred rate plan, but if you are a Free package user, you are able to change only the Cancellation fee (%) and the Payment in advance (%) fields.

By clicking on the last button, as shown in the image below, you can connect the rate plan template to a sales channel.

Note: Not all sales channels will allow you to define personal rate plans, so once you add them, please match them to the plans that the channels individually allow.

Step 3

When you define rate plans that are consistent with each portal, this will be used to calculate your revenue, costs for each reservation, billing and cancellation policies in booking and billing modules.

IMPORTANT: Please be careful and choose exactly a rate plan configuration that corresponds to every individual channel. There are four types of sales channels:

  • Sales channels that have one fixed (personal) rate plan linked to one mandatory billing method and one mandatory cancellation policy. Such channels include E-Domizil and TUI Villas.
  • Sales channels that offer a list of cancellation policies, among which you can choose the one that suits you the most, one billing policy, and you can only list one rate plan at a time. For example Airbnb, Only-Apartments, Kovotour, etc.
  • Sales channels that use one rate plan that you have independently defined through BeeRent. For example, HomeAway.
  • Sales channels that offer the option of accepting multiple rate plans at the same time, which are linked to different billing and cancellation policies. For example, Booking.com, Expedia, etc. Booking.com offers a list of more than 50 types of cancellation policies, as well as multiple payment methods.

We suggest that you define a template based on the rate plans that we recommend, and are available in the Rate plans section.

Standard

A standard tariff plan defining the basis of the price, balanced between multiple restrictive and highly flexible cancellation and billing conditions. It provides a combination of the Non-refundable Rate Plan and the Flexible Rate Plan, which means that the guest will pay a part (%) of the total amount of the non-refundable reservation, but still has the option of canceling the reservation until a certain number of days before arrival, without losing the full amount of the reservation.

Enter the data as shown on the image above, unless you want to increase the price – add a plus in front of the percentage amount if you wish to increase the price on Booking.com, or add a minus percentage if you wish to decrease the price on Booking.com.

Non-refundable (only for Premium and Premium Plus plan users)

This rate plan mainly implies a lower price than the standard, since the guest must pay the entire amount of the reservation immediately upon confirmation of the reservation, and that same amount is nonrefundable because the guest is not entitled to make changes to the reservation or cancel the reservation at no cost. This is a great option if you want to receive money in advance. If a guest decides to cancel the reservation at some point, he/she will lose the full amount he/she has paid.

Enter the data as shown on the image above, unless you want to increase the price – add a plus in front of the percentage amount if you wish to increase the price on Booking.com,  or add a minus percentage if you wish to decrease the price on  Booking.com.

Flexible (only for Premium and Premium Plus plan users)

This is often the most expensive rate plan that allows the guest to cancel the reservation. This is a great opportunity to achieve high positioning on sales channels such as Booking.com and Expedia, as it offers high flexibility to potential guests. Also, this is a great option for accommodation owners to earn more money for the same term.

Enter the data as shown on the image on the right, unless you want to increase the price – add a plus in front of the percentage amount if you wish to increase the price on Booking.com, or add a minus percentage if you wish to decrease the price on Booking.com.

Some of our recommended tariff plans and explanations of given examples:

  • Standard Plan – The guest pays an advance of 30% upon booking confirmation, and pays that same amount as the cancellation fee if cancelled up to 30 days prior to arrival. The price is the same as the basic price in the price list.
  • Non-refundable Plan (only for Premium and Premium Plus plan users) – The guest pays the entire amount of the reservation upon confirmation of the reservation, so the entire amount will be retained in the event of cancellation as a cancellation fee. The reservation fee is lower than the basic rate.
  • Flexible Plan (only for Premium and Premium Plus plan users) – The guest does not pay any advance, and can cancel the accommodation at no cost up to 30 days prior to arrival. Price is higher than the basic price.

Note: For Booking.com users
If you wish to activate a Non Refundable or Flexible price-list, or some other rate plan that you haven’t used yet, besides entering your prices in the Prices page you need to make some kind of change on the Apartment Complex level. For example, in the description of the complex add a dot (.) or a comma (,). Once the change has been made, the new rate plan will activate on Booking.com
